“Somali Pirates Seized a Saudi Oil Tanker”
Pirates? What the hell? Am I the only one who finds this completely ludicrous? In this day and age of the modern war ship why in the hell are we letting a piss-ant country like Somalia terrorize the seas? The entire Somali “navy” would fold like a cheap suit against one state of the art battleship. One article on this topic described how an arrest at sea would be made. Arrest, schmest. You point your 20” guns at their puny little boats, flip them the bird and wave goodbye.
To date more than 95 ships have been attacked and/or seized including the current Saudi tanker carrying $100 million worth of oil. A month or so ago a Russian ship was attacked and I’m shocked the pirates didn’t get their butts kicked right there. Okay, I’m not surprised. Russia’s backbone has dissolved in the past few years and they act as if they have a rubber band around their testicles and are just waiting for them to pop off.
The Indian navy did sink a pirate ship a few days ago. No surprise there since the Indians are so known for their kick-ass navy….. Advocating stronger naval measures, the British are showing their moxie and love a good fight. I’m surprise they haven’t just sent in a couple battleships and bitch-slapped their way through the area. Gotta love them Brits. Evidently 14 of these attacked ships are still under pirate control. Once again, HUH??? If a Somali pirate hijacked and is holding a vessel belonging to you or one of your citizens and you don’t kick ‘em square in the nutbag your country’s man-card should be taken away right then and there.
